What is NLP? This question comes from one of my readers. Thanks for asking. NLP stands for Neuro Linquistic Programming. Here are my comments on what this means:
- Neuro refers to your neural patterns. Every time you have a thought or take an action you connect different nerves. When you do this over and over, you have a pattern.
- Linguistic refers to language. When you say something to yourself inside or to others, you are creating a language sequence. When you say this over and over, you have a pattern.
- Programming refers to establishing patterns on purpose. You can use the NLP techniques to replace a pattern you want to eliminate or to create a new pattern.

Today I’m going to discuss how to future pace. I do this all the time. I teach it to customers. And while this is a simple technique, there are almost endless ways to utilize it. I could do an entire training on future pacing because it relates to so many other areas of NLP.
So that you can learn the rock solid NLP skill of future pacing in a way that will help you rapidly make money, I’m going to teach you the strategy of future pacing then give you an example of how to use it to make more money.
And, as a bonus, I’m going to use NLP Anchoring to tie KEYS 6-9 together with future pacing!

What is future pacing? It’s taking something you want to do and visualizing the effect doing this will have on your future (or doing it in the future and what occurs then.)
For example, here is future pacing taking an action in the future and getting the result you want: you want to increase your sales by closing more sales. Future pace (see, hear, feel – the 3 major NLP sensory modalities, yourself in the future making sales calls and getting people to say “yes, I will buy your product!” Here you are future pacing yourself being successful.
Now, I’m going to give you an example of future pacing what will occur when you start to make more sales calls and get more sales today – it’s effect on the future. Imagine that you increase your sales by 25% this week. Future pace the result on next week’s sales. See, hear, feel, yourself being more confident and saying to yourself “yeah, I did it last week so I can do it again this week!”
