Shares Labor Day with Dad

I went up to my Dad’s for Labor Day. He lives 100 miles from me. I used the pool, the cooked out ribs and chicken breasts. This is our traditional BBQ on Labor Day.

Here’s a photo of Dad and me about eat ribs.

As I’ve posted before, Dad just turned 90.  You can see his Birthday write up in July’s Posts.

We had a great time. I have to admit, I burned up most of the first slab and a half of ribs. You know how you go in the house for a minute to get something.

Well, the fat dripping on the grill catcher and the hot intensity of the flames caught the ribs on fire. Had to go get a second slab. Half a slab was salvageable.

And, if you’ve been following my blogs on weight loss, I made a commitment to only have 3 ribs and kept it. I also had chicken breast. We had corn on the cob (I left off the butter.)

We had a great time and I hope you had an amazing Labor Day with your friends or family.
