Goes to Bern’s Wine Tasting….
You all know that I’m on a strict diet and exercise plan. You might be as well. And it even includes not drinking alcohol. However, that didn’t stop me, and it doesn’t have to stop you, from partying.
Last night I went to the Friday night Wine Tasting at Berns Steak House and Berns Wine Shop (bernsfinewines.com) in Tampa, FL, where I live. Wine is one of my hobbies. And, while they have amazing cheeses to go with the wines, those weren’t on my diet, so I didn’t eat them.
Here is a photo of me with Kevin Pelly, Wine Director for Bern’s Wine Shop, at the event. Kevin has helped me make many of my wine decisions for my collection.
Moreover, I didn’t even drink the wines. I spit them, which means exploring the wine in my mouth and the spitting it out, which is actually the official way to taste and evaluate wines, not drinking.
Here I am with two sets of friends at the Berns Wine Shop for the Berns Fine Wines tasting. In this photo I’m with David Besser and his wife. David is a Pilot with the Tampa Bay Pilots Association and both he and his wife love wine and food – and travel the world enjoying it.
And, here I am with two other friends at the Berns Wine Shop: Sherri Eriksen and Rick Hall. Sherri is a great cook and both these friends, like me, love food and wines. Left to right it’s Sherri, Me, and Rick. Sherri is an engineer and Rick’s been featured in a number of commercials, including for Publix Super Markets. Rick was also in the Publix Super Markets ads for summer grilling and their new “Green Wise” market brand.
